FAQs
Self-love. Hope. Be yourself.
About SHB Studio
Who is SHB Studio, and what does the name mean?
SHB Studio began with clay and curiosity. What started as a small collection of ceramic products and jewellery, sold at pop-ups in Norwich, has grown into something much bigger — a space to celebrate Self-love, Hope, and the freedom to simply Be yourself. That's what SHB stands for, and it's the idea behind every piece we make.
What makes SHB Studio different from other jewellery and gift shops?
We believe true beauty begins from within, so our jewellery and gifts are designed to be more than accessories — they're small daily reminders of self-worth, confidence, and the strength to be exactly who you are. Our ceramic jewellery is handmade here in the UK, and part of our earrings collection is handmade in the UK too. Alongside these, we carefully curate meaningful gifts from other trusted sources for birthdays, celebrations, and everyday occasions — so every corner of the shop reflects the same values of self-love, hope, and individuality.
Where is SHB Studio based?
We're based in Norwich, England, and ship both across the UK and internationally.
Do you have a physical shop?
SHB Studio doesn't have a permanent shop front of our own, but you can find us in person throughout the year, and at these stockists and pop-up spots:
- The Jade Tree — 15 Elm Hill, Norwich, stocking part of our handmade jewellery collection
- For the Love of Norfolk — Norwich Market, every Monday and Friday, stocking our handmade earrings
- Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital — our regular pop-up stall, with part of each month's sales donated to N&N Hospitals Charity
- Willow Gallery — Poringland, stocking a selection of our jewellery and earrings
- The Holistic Self Care Kit Company — stocking part of our wellness-themed pin badges, including ADHD awareness designs
Beyond these, we take SHB Studio on the road with pop-ups across Norfolk and the wider UK, including London, throughout the year.
Ordering
How do I place an order?
Simply add your chosen pieces to your basket and check out through our secure online store. You'll receive an order confirmation email as soon as your payment has gone through.
Can I send an order as a gift directly to someone else?
Yes — simply enter the recipient's address at checkout instead of your own.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
Contact us as soon as possible with your order number. We can amend or cancel orders that haven't yet been packed or dispatched, but once an order is on its way we're unable to make changes.
Shipping & Delivery
Do you ship outside the UK?
Yes — SHB Studio ships to the UK and internationally, including across Europe, the United States, Canada, and Australia.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Our pieces are ready to ship, so once your order is placed, UK orders typically arrive within 2–4 working days, and international orders (Europe, US, Canada, Australia) within 7–14 working days.
How much is delivery?
Delivery is calculated by weight at checkout, so you'll always see the exact cost before you pay. As a guide: UK delivery starts from £3.50, and is free on UK orders over £50. Delivery to Europe starts from £10.00, and to the US, Canada, and Australia starts from £12.60.
How can I track my order?
You'll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information as soon as your order is dispatched.
Will I be charged customs or import fees?
Yes, if applicable — all customs duties, taxes, and import fees for international orders are the responsibility of the customer, not SHB Studio. These are set by your own country's customs authority, vary by destination, and are collected on delivery or by the courier — we're unable to calculate or cover them in advance.
Returns & Refunds
What is your returns policy?
You have 30 days from the date your order is delivered to return an item. Items must be sent back in the same condition you received them, with proof of purchase. Returns won't be accepted if the item is damaged or if more than 30 days have passed since delivery. Return shipping is paid by the customer and is non‑refundable — if your refund is approved, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from it. For the full policy and return address, see our Refund Policy, or contact us at info@shbstudio.com.
How long do refunds take to process?
Once your return is received and your refund is approved, please allow 5–7 working days for the refund to be issued back to your original payment method.
My item arrived damaged or faulty — what do I do?
Please contact us straight away at info@shbstudio.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We'll sort out a replacement or refund as quickly as we can.
Materials & Care
What are your jewellery pieces made from?
It varies by piece, since we work across handmade ceramic jewellery and a wider curated range. Materials you'll find across our collection include ceramic, stainless steel, brass, gold-plated metal, acrylic, and pearl. The exact material for each item is listed on its own product page — always worth checking there before you buy, especially if you're after something specific like waterproof stainless steel.
Is your jewellery hypoallergenic / nickel-free?
It varies by piece. Our stainless steel and sterling silver items are generally hypoallergenic and suitable for sensitive skin. For other materials, please check the individual product listing, or get in touch at info@shbstudio.com if you have a specific allergy and we'll confirm before you order.
Can I wear my ceramic jewellery every day?
Our ceramic pieces are lightweight and made to be worn often, but like any handmade ceramic item they should be treated gently — avoid knocks against hard surfaces, and remove before swimming, showering, or sleeping to keep them looking their best.
How do I clean and store my jewellery?
Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wear, and store pieces separately (a small pouch or jewellery box works well) to avoid scratching. Keep away from perfumes, lotions, and direct sunlight.
