Handmade Ceramic Bird long Necklace

A half-moon of stoneware printed with Persian folk-art motifs — birds, pomegranates, mandala flowers, and curling vines drawn in deep black on a soft cream glaze. The pattern is inspired by ghalamkar, the centuries-old block-printed textiles of Isfahan, where every motif tells a quiet story.

Hand-shaped, kiln-fired, and finished with a delicate silver-tone chain in my studio in Poringland, Norfolk. Each piece is glazed individually, and the soft crackle in the surface comes from the firing — a gentle, living detail that no two pieces share in the same way.

A piece for anyone with roots in more than one place, or anyone drawn to small things rich with meaning.
