Handmade Ceramic Lion and Sun Necklace – Persian Shir-o-Khorshid Pendant | SHB Studio
Handmade ceramic Lion and Sun necklace featuring the iconic Persian Shir-o-Khorshid emblem — a symbol of Iranian heritage, courage and hope that has been part of Persian culture for over 800 years. The lion and rising sun are hand-illustrated in soft gold on a sage green ceramic disc, finished with a small green aventurine gemstone bead for a touch of natural sparkle.
Each pendant is hand-shaped, hand-glazed and kiln-fired in my Norwich studio in the UK. The lion and sun motif is carefully applied by hand, then sealed with a clear glaze and finally kiln-fired so it lasts a lifetime. Hung on a fine silver paperclip chain.
